[ANDY – Opening]
In a world full of headlines, social media, breaking news alerts, and that friend who "knows someone on Wall Street," it's easy to feel overwhelmed.
We live in a world of Fear and hype - and they feed off one another.
People can be paralyzed by doomsday predictions or swayed by Fear of missing out. And most of the time, those reactions lead to regrettable decisions.
There is a better way – and it begins with tuning out the noise.
[JENNA – Middle]
The voice of Fear in your head says, "Do something now — or else."
The voice of greed inside of us says, "You don't want to miss out!"
Both of these emotions are triggers - but neither of them leads to thoughtful, long-term planning.
In reality, Fear often manifests as pulling out of a market too soon. Greed often manifests as following a trend you don't fully understand. The media rarely reports how these stories end... but we have all witnessed these events.
Amid all this noise, the context is missing.
Are you working toward specific goals? Is there a time horizon involved? What risk level is appropriate for you? These are questions that help us avoid Fear and greed in the future.
You do not have to react to every headline when you are rooted in a solid plan - one that is built around your values, your life, and your future.
No matter how unstable the world may seem, stay focused on your plan.
